An overnight dining request, personally coordinated

An overnight dining request, personally coordinated

A private client’s dining request required several collections across London and beyond, with the entire request completed within 12 hours, from 5pm to 5am the following morning. Darius and Caitlin personally managed supplier changes, resolved payment difficulties, checked orders with the client’s permission, and delivered to Harrods Aviation within every agreed deadline.

The request

The brief brought together several collections, individual food preferences and specific labelling instructions. Each order needed to be identifiable, with the required handover reference attached to its bags. The work continued into an early-morning breakfast collection.

Darius and Caitlin handled the arrangements together, responding to issues as they arose and seeking approval for changes where needed.

An evening-to-morning operation

From the first evening collections to the final aviation handover, the entire request was completed within 12 hours. Between 5pm and 5am the following morning, Darius and Caitlin coordinated suppliers across London and beyond, resolved unexpected problems and checked orders against the client’s requirements. Every agreed handover deadline was met.

Resolving problems before collection

Checking the requested suppliers in advance revealed that one restaurant had closed. Perissology informed the client and found an alternative, which the client approved.

Another restaurant would not prepare some of the requested items. An alternative supplier was offered, but the client preferred to retain the original restaurant. A substitute item was then agreed with the client.

Payment also needed attention. Where the client could not pay remotely using their own card, Perissology paid on their behalf so the orders could proceed.

Checking the details in person

The client had requested labels on the food items and bags. When suppliers had not provided them, Darius and Caitlin bought labels locally and completed the labelling themselves. Where a restaurant had already labelled an order, they checked its accuracy.

With the client’s consent, they also checked the contents of food containers against the order, including requested modifications.

During a later collection, those checks identified missing items. Perissology obtained them from the restaurant before leaving. They also queried unusual charges with the manager, clarified the bill and reported back to the client. The charges were corrected.

Care through each handover

The orders were carried in insulated bags and delivered in stages to Harrods Aviation, where Darius and Caitlin coordinated handovers with the on-site team. Perissology requested refrigeration for the relevant items and kept the required handover reference attached to each bag.

For the final breakfast collection, Darius and Caitlin coordinated with the hotel’s concierge and on-site teams, checked the contents with the client’s permission, and labelled the items and bags. Hot and cold items were placed in separate insulated bags before the final delivery, when they liaised with the crew and flight-support team.

The outcome

The work addressed several issues that would otherwise have remained unresolved: a closed supplier, unavailable menu items, remote-payment difficulties, missing labels, missing food items and disputed charges.

Every agreed order was handed over within the required deadlines. Missing items were recovered, charges were corrected and the alternative arrangements were approved. Feedback on the work was repeatedly positive.

The value was in attending to the whole request: checking what could be arranged, verifying what was collected and carrying the details through to the receiving team.
